Today was a beautiful spring day. As I was walking home enjoying it, I was overcome with the beauty of the day. Yes everything is dirty snow and mud, but it’s part of the process of turning ice and snow into blossom inducing showers. Thinking these thoughts, led to the following poem.
ODE TO SPRING
The world in all it’s beauty must, Continually astound.
If you will only take the time,
There’s wonder all around,
When you stop to smell the rose,
Behold the bugs as well.
Without their help you have no bloom,
No lovely scent to smell..
The sun as well gives energy,
That bugs and plant both live.
So as you sniff give thanks my friend,
For gifts the sun does give.
So now you’ve read these words of mine,
Go smell the scents of spring.
Then revel in the wonders that,
The season’s sure to bring!
Cheers, Winston
