Any time I’m at a loss for inspiration, I can always rely on my muse. My angel Lynn… I love you!

A BLESSING ON YOU ALL

I look up at the night and see,

The stars twink’ling above.

I look beside, and there she is,

The woman that I love.

Which is the greater wonder is,

Quite difficult to say.

Except that love is just as plain,

Here in the light of day.

The splendour of the stars is great,

But it is all for naught.

Without someone to share it with,

The joy is soon forgot.

I point out constellations to,

The wonder next to me.

With her fresh eyes, it seems like them,

For my first time I see.

In the garden, she shows to me,

A bloom I’ve never known.

The magic of it’s scent tells us,

It bloomed for us alone.

I wish that everyone who reads,

These words may someday know.

A love like this, a blessing which,

Each day will live and grow.

Yesterday was just a little too bleak.  So today I figured to write about the one thing in my life that is always wonderful.  No matter how lousy I feel, my incredible wife is always there to make me smile.

My Angel Lynn

There is someone who listens as,
I endlessly recite.
And try to tweak the words just so,
On every verse I write.

She always tries to see that I,
Am happy if she can.
And when it comes to sketch or verse,
She is my biggest fan.

The greatest pleasure in my life,
Is time she spends with me.
The truth is, time I spend with her’s,
The happiest I’ll be,

Sometimes we laugh and laugh until, Most think we’ve lost our minds.
Laugh at the strangest, random things,
Like glowing white behinds.

Sometimes we sit and don’t say much,
Just want each other near.
Soft gentle sounds of souls content,
Are all you’re apt to hear.

She’s everything to me you see,
My lovely Angel Lynn,
And paradise for me is found,
Whichever place she’s in.

I do not know what I would be,
If she were not with me,
And yet I know the truth is this,
A lesser man you’d see.

So thank you Lynn for all you are
And all the joy you bring.
I love you more than I can tell,
You are my everything.

My Bliss

The first verse of this came to me last night and I had to wait for the rest of it to catch up. Now that it’s here, I wanted to dedicate it to my wife, my muse, my Angel.. Thank you Lynn.

MY BLISS

I dreamed a dream of joy and bliss,

and you were in it too.

For there could be no joy nor bliss,

My darling without you.

 

I realized the truth that night

You broke my heart in two.

One half still lives within my chest,

The other lives in you.

 

But that’s okay, it’s only fair,

Because my love you see.

Just half your heart still lives with you,

The other lives in me.

 

So take my hand and dream with me,

Come thrill me with your kiss.

We’ll share our hearts and share our dreams,

Live filled with joy and bliss.
