Princess The Dog

This Princess is a lovely dog,
Well trained and sweet as pie.
Her family is in a fix,
Don’t need the reason why.

So Princess needs a place to stay,
We want a dog around.
Not ready yet to have our own,
A doggy friend we’ve found.

We go for walks and play some fetch,
Meet puppies in the park.
And when the neighbours dogs come out,
The Princess starts to bark.

It’s hard sometimes when I expect,
Her to be just like him.
But she is her own person with,
All her own moods and whim.

We’re lucky she has come to stay,
And live with us a while.
Each time she gazes in our eyes,
And shares her puppy smile.
