NaPoWriMo Day 22
I Am The Wind
Whipping spume from surging waves
I race across the sea
Lift up the seabirds on my way
They get a lift for free.
Carry water from the sea
To western slopes as rain
Swooping down the other side
I’m dry as dust again.
My siblings all round the world
Work just as hard as I
Even when the air seems still
We are still flowing by.
I am wind a gentle sigh
Sometimes a mighty shout
A cool breeze or raging gale
Both these are mine no doubt.
So go stand outside a while
Eyes closed and feel the air
Marvel at my fleeting touch
Unseen, but always there.
Cheers,
